Los Angeles Divorce Document Preparation

Affordable, accurate uncontested divorce document preparation. Over 22 years of family law experience helping Los Angeles County couples divorce without the high cost of an attorney.

You may not have to pay the court’s filing fee.

California waives court filing fees for people below certain income levels — and that fee is often larger than our price. We prepare fee-waiver applications, and we will tell you in about five minutes whether you are likely to qualify.

And flat fee means flat fee. If the court sends a document back, we revise it and resubmit it at no additional cost to you. No hourly billing. No revision fees. No second invoice.

Affordable Uncontested Divorce Document Preparation in Los Angeles

Most divorces in California are self-prepared — meaning couples don't hire an attorney. With over 22 years of family law experience in Los Angeles County, we help you complete every required form correctly, file at the right court, and get your Marital Settlement Agreement approved by the Los Angeles Superior Court.

One mistake on the paperwork can cause your divorce filing to be sent back and cost you months. We help you avoid the errors of self-filing — and the high cost of an attorney — for a flat fee starting at $250 plus court filing fees, depending on which path applies to your case.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does an uncontested divorce cost in Los Angeles?

Our uncontested divorce document preparation is $250 flat plus court filing fees for a Summary Dissolution or Joint Petition, with or without minor children. A Standard Dissolution, where one spouse files and the other responds, is $500 flat with minor children, or a custom quote without children. Payment plans are available, and this is far less than attorneys, who often charge $1,500 to $3,500 for an uncontested divorce.

Do I need a lawyer to get divorced in California?

No. Most California divorces are self-prepared without an attorney. We help you complete all the judicial council forms correctly, file them, serve your spouse, and get your Marital Settlement Agreement approved — with 22 years of experience.

My divorce filing was sent back. Can you help?

Yes. If you already started your divorce in Los Angeles County and your filing was sent back, we can fix those errors for a flat-fee price and get your divorce finalized.

How long does a divorce take in California?

California has a mandatory 6-month waiting period from the date the responding spouse is served before a divorce can be finalized. We make sure your paperwork is submitted correctly so there are no additional delays from sent back filings.

Can you handle the Marital Settlement Agreement?

Yes. We prepare a complete Judgment Packet with a Marital Settlement Agreement using the correct legal wording, covering spousal support, child support, custody, and the division of assets and debts.

“My experience with Los Angeles Paralegals has been excellent, he's very straight forward, on point and fast. He got me divorced in two months!! My case was stuck in court for over two years in a weird loophole due to mistakes in the paperwork. Only after a long wait and a lot of frustration is when I decided to get help. He took a quick look at the case, he knew exactly what was happening and how to solve it. This guy is serious and knows what he's doing. Highly recommended!”
